What does a Holistic Nutritionist do?

Holistic Nutritionists work with clients to achieve their best health from a nutritional perspective.  Firstly, a thorough health history is taken including questionnaires, and health evaluations. Not only is the client's current health taken into consideration, but also from an evolutionary perspective, meaning the condition of their health in childhood, from the psychosocial aspect, antibiotic use, and diet. This gives a glimpse into all the exposures a client has had nutritionally, physiologically and emotionally, etc.

A Holistic Nutritionists evaluates the questionnaires and can reccomend further labwork to get to the root causes of any nutritional imbalances and or underlying root causes of illness. In this way, a whole picture of the client's health is compiled to create a specific bio-individual diet, supplementation list, and lifestyle strategies that best support the client’s health and well-being.

*What Holistic Nutritionists cannot and do not do is diagnose medical issues and will recommend further testing with a medical professional when necessary.

How does it work?

Consultation

A free 30-minute consult is provided to determine if you are comfortable to work with me and to learn the process.

First Appointment

  • The meeting can be in person or on zoom.
  • 1 to 2-hour appointment taking a full health history.
  • Health evaluations and questionnaires will be provided to be filled out before the initial meeting.
  • In our initial meeting, we will discuss your health concerns and ultimate health goals.
  • Labwork will be recommended to determine baseline blood chemistry.

Second Appointment 

  • 1-hour appointment on Zoom or in person.
  • All information acquired will be evaluated and a plan of action will be explained.
  • Nutritional supplements, dietary instructions, and or lifestyle strategies will be discussed.
  • Timeline and further Coaching sessions will be determined.

What is a Holistic Health Coach?

Holistic Health Coaching is a client-centered method of support, with the client at the lead. Health Coaches help empower clients in making changes they desire. From increasing self-care, securing time for exercise, managing dietary choices, or making time for meditation Health Coaches can help in attaining any health goal.

What makes a Holistic Health Coach different, is the holistic perspective. The holistic perspective takes into consideration the whole person including mind, body, and spirit. It is well known that people have complicated lives, with many perceived obstacles in their lives on a daily basis, leaving their health on the backburner. Putting health first is not always easy. Holistic Health Coaches understand this and help clients navigate the path towards attaining goals towards their best health and well-being.

*What HHC's do not do is therapy, as they are not a psychologist. If therapy is warranted, the HHC will refer the client to a psychologist.
